Autism@Work

Business NSW is excited to host the Autism@Work – Regional Leaders Business Luncheon event in partnership with the Northern Rivers Autism Association Ltd (NRAA).

This includes the official launch of Northern Rivers Autism Association Ltd with Chairman Micheal Lynch, a wonderful keynote address from Mat Rogers and an inspirational panel discussion.

Keynote Speaker – Mat Rogers

Mat Rogers is a dual code international with a prominent career in both rugby league and union.

After a stellar career representing Queensland, the Kangaroo’s and the Wallabies, Matt finished his career back where it all started, in the NRL with the Gold Coast Titans, retiring in 2011.

With his wife, Chloe Maxwell, Mat is devoted to the charity they established, 4ASDKIDS, after discovering their son was autistic, so they could help other families with autistic children.

We are excited to have Mat be part of this opportunity to discover the amazing value we can bring to our businesses and employees with a neurodiverse workforce and inclusive workplaces.

More event detail to follow, please feel free to register your interest by email to Business NSW Strategic Partnerships Manager Nadia Brooks – nadia.brooks@businessnsw.com.

“Did you know that autistic professionals can be up to 140% more productive than the typical employee when properly matched to jobs?

While we should not generalise such results to the entire population, research shows that professionals on the autism spectrum bring valuable strengths to the workplace, including (but not limited to) understanding complex systems, independently focusing on tasks, reliability, and loyalty.
